VINTAGE MEETS MODERN AT METRO ATLANTA’S SWANKY NEW EVENT SPACE

Located in the heart of historic Marietta Square, The Third Door is metro Atlanta’s newest — and hippest — event space in town. Inspired by the art deco era of Prohibition and the Roaring '20s, our joint is sure to catch your eye as the perfect spot for your next party.

The space, which was once a 1920s filling station for breezers, flivvers and jalopies of all kinds, is within walking distance to chef-inspired dining, shopping and parks for the perfect photo opportunities. The Third Door can comfortably fit up to 99 people with standing room and a few high tops, and will seat 30–40 for a swanky sit-down soirée. Our joint also boasts three unique gathering places spaces to host singing, dancing, dining and more for your guests. We’re gonna level with you — there’s really not a lot you can’t do with our joint The Third Door.

All this said, we’ve carefully blended vintage pieces with modern elements to create a versatile space that pays homage to a time of glitz and glam, yet can easily be transformed to fit your unique event vision. Here are a few details we’ve incorporated that we think are the butterfly’s boots!

RECLAIMED WOOD

From the counters and polished tables to the floors and even the doors (both visible AND hidden), you’ll find years decades of history in the details of each piece of wood throughout the joint.

Our servery countertop is 14 inches feet of American pine wood salvaged from an elementary school gymnasium built in 1927, perfect for a your buffet or bar and drink service.

In addition, the wooden floorboards and wall paneling were sourced from an old barn located in western North Carolina, where it was kiln-dried and skip-planed to give the wood more character. Paired with floor-to-ceiling stage curtains, drop down bar countertops and a small stage, our Jalopy Gallery is a customizable space perfectly designed for art galleries, dance parties and all-around celebrating. We’ve got the goods, baby.

TIN CEILINGS

We might just cast a kitten over these tin tiles. This type of ceiling panel was popular in the early 1900s as a more affordable option to artisan materials. The carefully selected design of our tiles gives the joint a real ritzy type of vibe that makes us want to dance the Charleston all night. These panels will live in the Speakeasy Lounge, perfect for relaxing with your guys and gals, giggle water in hand and beating gums about the latest.

VINTAGE SETTEES

The 1920s was full of glam and fashion, and furniture was no exception. From the vintage floral fabric to the intricate details carved on the crest rails and legs, our Victorian era settees will be sitting pretty in the Speakeasy Lounge.

Both settees come from a long line of family heritage. The first embodies a Duncan Phyfe style that belonged to a family in Lawrenceville, Georgia, for over 90 years, while the other belonged to a local Marietta resident’s family for decades. These settees are really on the up and up. We’re lookin’ forward to taking a seat and enjoying the night’s entertainment in these babies.

TEMPERANCE TRAILERS

Our sister company, Temperance Trailers, has been serving up swell brews and adorable photo ops in their vintage mobile bars for 2 years across Atlanta. These rolling cuties are thrilled about their new party pad and would love to join your soiree. Rent out a few, hire your favorite bartender and get the John Barleycorn flowing in the Pump Yard (and don’t forget to ditch the fire extinguishers). These trailers have seen some parties in their days and will give your event an unforgettable, hotsy-totsy addition flair that everyone’ll just adore.

We’re still putting the final touches on even the smallest details throughout the joint. Once finished, the Pump Yard, Speakeasy Lounge and Jalopy Gallery at The Third Door are sure to make every event the cat’s meow. We’d love to talk to you about your next party, so pick up the line and give us a chat. We’re now booking events for April 2020!
